Surgical Scheduler

• Shift : 7:45 - 5pm
• The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for greeting, instructing, directing and scheduling patients
• Responsibilities include scheduling surgical procedures and follow up appointments
• Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff
• Meets with patient to coordinate surgical date
• Reviews preoperative instructions: bowel preparation, no aspirin, etc
• Registers patient and procedure with the appropriate hospital scheduling department
• Correlates pre-admission testing and surgical clearance appointments
• Prepares patient chart orders for surgical .
