Surgical Services Aide

The Surgical Services Aide will perform various direct patient care duties in the endoscopy suites under the supervision of a physician, including:

• Preparing patients for GI procedures.

• Preparing the medical instruments and equipment used during the endoscopic procedures.

• Maintaining clean endoscopy suites by setting up rooms, cleaning instruments and maintaining GI equipment.

• Providing assistance removing polyps and taking biopsies.

• Disinfecting the endoscopes and other equipment before each procedure and storing them appropriately each day.

• High School diploma or GED preferred

• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification obtained within 2 years of hire

• BLS preferred

• Nurse Aide certification preferred
