Surgical Technician

We are looking to add an experienced full-time certified surgical technician with endoscopy experience to our team at Pleasantdale Ambulatory Care! We are a busy multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgical Center which includes orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, vein ablations, spine and endoscopy. The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is responsible for providing essential support to surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. This includes preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and ready, and assisting with patient care throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that the operating room is clean, sterile, and equipped with all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and supplies in a sterile manner.
• Assist in transferring patients to the operating table and ensure proper positioning.
• Verify that all surgical equipment is functioning correctly and set up as per the surgical procedure requirements.
• Provide support to surgeons by handing over instruments, sutures, and other supplies during the operation.
• Monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
• Properly label and manage any specimens collected during the surgery.

Qualifications:

• Current CST certification in New Jersey
• Familiarity with surgical procedures and operating room protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• BLS certification required

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 2 Saturdays per month
• Day Shift
