Surgical Technologist

Rashid Plastic Surgery is looking for a Part-Time/PRN Surgical Technologist to join our team. Rashid Plastic Surgery is a luxury boutique medical office featuring an in-office operating suite and medical spa.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, equipment, and sterile field for all surgical procedures.
• Perform surgical scrubbing, gowning, and gloving or surgeon and assistants.
• Maintain strict sterile technique and anticipate surgeons needs throughout the procedure.
• Assist with patient prep, positioning, post-op dressings, proper specimen handling.
• Cleaning, package, sterilize, and maintain instrument trays.
• Restock supplies and help maintain operating room readiness.
• Assist providers by taking vitals, documenting medical history, preparing medication and injectables, and setting up/assisting with minor procedures
• Collaborating with physicians and other team members to ensure patient's needs are met.
• Additional patient care duties include obtaining patient consents, sending pathology, assisting with inventory management, sterilization of instruments, coordinating with referring physician offices, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• CST certification (or eligibility), preferred
• BLS Certification
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to assess medical clearance issues, medication history review, and assess wounds
• Strong decision making capabilities
• Ability to problem solve and think critically
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in providing comprehensive care and support to patients, demonstrating a strong level of expertise in healthcare and a deep understanding of patient needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, EHR System: Nextech
• Previous experience in plastic surgery, perioperative

Pay: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour
