Surgical Technology Lab Instructor

Are you an experienced surgical tech who loves teaching? We're looking for a passionate, hands-on Surgical Technology Lab Instructor to help train the next generation of OR professionals.

What You'll Do:

• Lead hands-on lab sessions covering surgical technology skills, sterile technique, instrumentation, and patient care standards
• Supervise and evaluate students during practical exams and skill demonstrations
• Grade assignments and track student progress using Canvas (or similar LMS)
• Maintain accurate competency and attendance records in compliance with accreditation standards
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum updates that reflect current OR practices
• Support program accreditation by upholding lab safety protocols and documentation requirements
• Stay current with advances in surgical technology and education methodology

What You Bring:

• CST certification (required)
• Minimum 3 years of surgical technology experience in an OR setting
• Strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and patient care
• Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring preferred — but we'll consider the right candidate
• Comfort with learning management systems and instructional technology
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse learners
