DEFINITION OF POSITION: Performs a variety of technical duties to assist the surgeon, patient and or team with surgical procedures. Subject to frequent exposure to infection, contagious disease, and hazardous materials and equipment. Occasionally subject to combative patients. Variable noise levels. Also subject to rapid pace, multiple stimuli, unpredictable environment, and critical situations. Physical Demands/Traits Must be able to:

• Able to lift, position, push and/or transfer patients. Qualifications Qualifications: Surgical Tech I Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: NA Licenses/ certifications/ registrations Required: None required. Preferred: NA Experience Required: NA Preferred: One-year perioperative services experience preferred. Qualifications Surgical Tech II Education Required: Associate degree or National Certification. Preferred: NA Licenses/ certifications/ registrations Required: Associate degree or National Certification. Preferred: NA Experience Required: NA Preferred: 6 months’ clinical experience preferred. Qualifications Surgical Tech III Education Required: Associate degree. Preferred: Licenses/ certifications/ registrations Required: Certified Surgical Technologist. Preferred: Experience Required: three years of perioperative experience. Other: Surgical Tech I, II, III Exposure to blood, sharp instruments and other devices, body fluids and tissue, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions Standing and walking for extensive periods of time Working irregular hours including call hours Manual and finger dexterity Hand and eye coordination Corrected vision and hearing within normal range 40 Hours USD $29.83/Hr.
