This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of surveying, machine control and digital engineering. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our survey crews and GPS-equipped construction plant receive accurate, up-to-date data to keep projects running safely, efficiently and on schedule. Working closely with our Project Survey Manager, Surveyors, Engineers and Project Managers, you'll help drive innovation through machine control technology, UAV data processing and continuous improvement of digital survey systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain survey set-out files for field survey crews.
  • Create machine control models and GPS surface files for construction plant.
  • Validate engineering drawings and ensure only current approved revisions are issued.
  • Manage digital survey databases, version control and project archives.
  • Process UAV (drone) survey data to produce terrain models, point clouds and survey deliverables.
  • Provide technical support for survey and machine control systems.
  • Assist with office calculations, model preparation and QA/QC of survey information.
  • Work closely with project teams to coordinate design updates and improve digital workflows.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of survey drafting standards and machine control processes.

Key Requirements

  • Qualification in Surveying, Spatial Sciences, Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
  • White Card and current Driver's Licence.
  • Experience using survey and machine control software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and civil construction methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams.
  • UAV/RePL qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Key Benefits

  • Work on diverse civil construction projects across Perth.
  • Supportive, experienced Survey team with opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Exposure to the latest survey, UAV and machine control technologies.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Competitive salary depending on experience.
  • Phone bill covered.
  • Supportive team culture with genuine opportunities for career progression.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
