Survey Base Engineer

• Degree or diploma in Hydrographic Survey, Geomatics, Marine Technology, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of multibeam, USBL, GNSS, and survey sensor systems.
• Experience in 5–8 years in hydrographic / offshore survey operations.
• IHO/FIG Category A or B preferred
• valid offshore safety training (BOSIET/HUET)
• Responsible for the management, maintenance, and readiness of survey equipment and assets at the shore base, supporting survey project mobilizations, demobilizations, and ongoing project operations.
• Manage all survey equipment at the shore base including receipt, storage, maintenance scheduling, and calibration coordination through the AMC process
• Plan and coordinate equipment mobilization packs for survey vessels and project deployments, ensuring full readiness prior to departure
• Oversee demobilization, inspection, and reintegration of survey equipment returning from projects
• Coordinate with Survey Engineering team on equipment repair, calibration, and certification status
• Maintain accurate equipment inventory and asset registers; manage spare parts and consumables stock levels
• Liaise with vessel crews and project teams on technical equipment queries and fault resolution during mobilization preparation
• Coordinate with stores and logistics on equipment packaging, shipping, and transfer requirements
• Support onboarding and orientation of survey field personnel on equipment handling and care standards
