Terraquatic, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our team. Established in 2004, we specialize in hydrographic, bathymetric, topographic, boundary, and construction surveying.

Our projects include waterways, beaches, marinas, waterfront properties, and construction sites. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in clean, accurate drawings, understands the importance of survey data, and enjoys working closely with surveyors and field crews.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and revise survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Import and organize survey points, field data, and supporting reference files.
• Build and edit terrain surfaces, generate contours, and prepare profiles and cross sections.
• Draft boundary, topographic, bathymetric, construction layout, and as-built surveys under the direction of a licensed surveyor.
• Assist with dredging plans, pre- and post-dredge comparisons, and earthwork or dredge quantity calculations.
• Incorporate field notes, survey control, record information, and review comments into drawings.
• Prepare PDF, DWG, and coordinate-file deliverables.
• Maintain consistent layers, styles, file organization, and drafting standards.
• Coordinate with project surveyors and field crews to identify missing information and resolve drafting questions.

What We’re Looking For

• Working proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Previous survey drafting or closely related civil drafting experience.
• Familiarity with survey points, surfaces, contours, coordinate systems, and vertical datums.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to checking your work.
• Ability to interpret field notes and sketches, follow project standards, and manage deadlines.
• Clear communication and the ability to work independently while staying connected with the team.

Experience That Stands Out

Experience with hydrographic or bathymetric surveys, HYPACK data, dredge volume calculations, beach profiles, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, sovereign submerged land leases, Coastal Construction Control Line surveys, or waterfront projects is a plus. Familiarity with point clouds and LiDAR data is also valuable. You do not need experience in every area to apply.

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications.
