What they need
Survey Manager | Tauranga
Cadastral Surveying | Tauranga-based
An opportunity has come up for an experienced Surveyor to step into a Survey Manager position in Tauranga, taking ownership of a team of five and helping drive the delivery of cadastral surveying projects across the region.
This role will suit someone who enjoys the technical side of surveying but is ready to take the next step into leadership, with responsibility for supporting their team, managing workloads and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
The Role
- Lead and oversee a team of five to six surveyors, providing guidance, support and day-to-day direction.
- Manage the delivery of cadastral surveying projects from start to finish.
- Oversee project workloads, resourcing and deadlines to ensure quality outcomes.
- Support the professional development of the team while maintaining strong technical standards.
- Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving and identify opportunities for further growth.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in cadastral surveying, with a sound understanding of relevant surveying practices and processes.
- Previous team leadership or management experience, or someone ready to take that next step.
- The ability to organise workloads, manage competing priorities and get the best out of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- A Bachelor's degree in Surveying is preferred but not essential, provided you bring the right technical experience and leadership ability.
What's on Offer?
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to move into a leadership position where they can have a genuine impact on a team and the delivery of projects.
You'll have the chance to take ownership of a team, build on existing capabilities and play an important role in the continued delivery of surveying work across Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty.
If you're an experienced Cadastral Surveyor who enjoys working with people and is ready for more responsibility, this could be the next step you're looking for.
