Survey Technician

Location: Klamath Falls, Oregon
Position Type: Temporary Part-Time/Full-Time
Base Pay: $16.50 per hour, depending on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will require assisting surveyors in the field on a variety of construction, design, and boundary surveys, primarily located throughout Oregon and Northern California. The survey technician will assist the party chief with setting line and grade hubs and operating total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels. The survey technician will be expected to complete various office tasks including preparation of legal descriptions, and drafting exhibits and maps using AutoCAD civil 3d. Work will be scheduled as needed with possible overtime when necessary. Overnight travel will be required.

REQUIREMENTS

To apply for this position, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of surveying experience and/or currently be enrolled in or have successfully completed 1 year of survey specific education. This position requires the ability to perform physically-demanding work, lift and carry 50 pounds, and walk 2 to 4 miles during the work day in all types of weather, including inclement conditions. A valid driver’s license with no driving under the influence arrests is required.
