No formal surveying experience is required. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, and we’ll provide the training to help you succeed.

Your Role:

• Field Surveying: Assist with surveying operations on a variety of projects and job sites.
• Technology & Equipment: Operate and maintain GPS equipment, total stations, data collectors and other surveying technology.
• Data Collection: Collect and accurately record field data to support project teams.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with survey crews and other project team members to help keep work accurate, efficient and on schedule.
• Office Support: Assist with data processing and drafting as needed.
• Travel: Travel to project sites as required.

Position Overview:

• Location: Billings, Montana, with field travel required
• Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt
• Experience: Entry level; no formal surveying experience required

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including walking, lifting and carrying equipment
• Proficiency with technology and the ability to quickly learn new software and equipment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and participate in random drug testing

Preferred Qualifications:

The following experience is helpful but not required:

• Experience with Trimble survey equipment and software
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• FAA Part 107 UAV pilot license or willingness to obtain one. Performance Engineering will cover testing costs.
