Surveyor

About the role

Conduct surveying and setting-out works for road/highway construction, including topographic, alignment, earthwork and as-built surveys. Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks, set out road alignment, chainage, levels and formation, and check construction works against approved drawings and specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct surveying and setting-out works for road/highway construction
• Carry out topographic, alignment, earthwork and as-built surveys
• Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks
• Set out road alignment, chainage, levels and formation
• Check construction works against approved drawings and specifications
• Prepare survey records, measurements and as-built data
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and site teams on surveying matters
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment and ensure survey accuracy

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Land Surveying, Surveying Technology or related field
• 3–5 years' relevant experience in road/highway, bridges, interchanges, surveying, construction or civil engineering projects
• Familiar with topographic surveys, road alignment, earthworks and road construction
• Proficient in Total Station and GPS/RTK; experience with UAV/drone surveying is an advantage
• Good knowledge of road design, as-built surveys and setting-out works
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and survey/GIS data
• Knowledge of Malaysian surveying requirements and JKR standards is an advantage
• Good analytical, teamwork, reporting and communication skills
• Willing to be based in Gedong, Samarahan, Sarawak
