SURVEYOR

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out surveying and setting-out works for civil and marine construction projects.
• Set out structures, roads, drainage, earthworks and other construction works according to approved drawings.
• Check coordinates, levels, dimensions, alignment and site measurements.
• Establish, check and maintain survey control points and benchmarks.
• Operate Total Station, Dumpy Level, RTK & Differential GPS.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, survey plans and technical information.
• Provide accurate survey information to Site Engineers and construction teams.
• Carry out regular checks on levels, alignment, dimensions and positions during construction.
• Prepare survey records, field notes, calculations, reports and as-built survey information.
• Work closely with Site Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors to resolve survey-related issues.
• Identify and report discrepancies between actual site conditions, survey results and approved drawings.
• Ensure survey equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Ensure surveying works comply with project requirements and site safety procedures.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering or related field.
• Relevant construction surveying experience is preferred.
• Experience in setting-out and levelling.
• Knowledge of hydrographic surveying is an advantage.
• Able to operate Total Station, Dumpy Level, RTK & Differential GPS.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and survey plans.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Hydropro, Terramodel or similar software is an advantage.
• Good understanding of coordinates, levels and site measurements.
• Able to work independently and as part of a construction team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work at construction sites.
