Job Responsibilities

1. Construction Surveying and Setting Out
   Carry out daily construction surveying and setting-out works using RTK GNSS equipment, Total Station and other surveying instruments.
2. RTK Surveying
   Independently operate RTK equipment for coordinate positioning, point setting-out, elevation checking and construction control surveys.
3. Setting Out Works
   Carry out setting-out for building structures, roads, drainage systems, sewerage pipelines, external works and other construction activities according to approved drawings.
4. Level and Elevation Control
   Conduct level surveys and elevation checks to ensure that construction works comply with the approved drawings, design levels and required tolerances.
5. Coordinate and Grid Control
   Establish and maintain site survey control points, benchmarks and coordinate systems, and ensure that all setting-out works are based on accurate control points.
6. As-Built Survey
   Carry out as-built surveys for completed works and provide accurate coordinates, levels and measurements for as-built drawings and project documentation.
7. Drawing and BIM Coordination
   Read and understand construction drawings, survey drawings and relevant technical information. Coordinate with the Engineering, BIM and Site Teams to ensure that survey data is consistent with the latest approved drawings and BIM models.
8. Site Verification
   Conduct site measurements and verification before and during construction, identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions, and report technical issues to the Site Engineer or relevant department.
9. Survey Records and Documentation
   Maintain accurate survey records, field books, coordinate data, setting-out records, level records and as-built survey information.
10. Coordination with Site Team and Subcontractors
    Work closely with Site Engineers, Construction Teams and Subcontractors to provide timely surveying support according to the construction programme.
11. Survey Equipment Management
    Properly operate, maintain and check RTK, Total Station, Auto Level and other surveying equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability.

Job Requirements

1. Relevant Experience
   Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction surveying, preferably in building, civil, roadworks or infrastructure projects.
2. RTK Experience – Mandatory
   Hands-on experience operating RTK GNSS equipment is required. Candidates must be able to independently carry out coordinate positioning, setting-out and elevation-related surveying works using RTK.
3. Construction Setting-Out Experience
   Practical experience in construction setting-out, including building works, external works, roads, drainage, sewerage and other civil works.
4. Surveying Equipment
   Proficient in using RTK GNSS. Experience with Total Station and Auto Level is required/preferred.
5. Drawing Interpretation
   Able to read and understand construction drawings, coordinates, dimensions, levels, grid lines and setting-out information.
6. Computer Skills
   Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Experience in reviewing BIM models using Navisworks, Revit or similar software is an advantage.
7. Survey Data Processing
   Able to record, organize and process survey data accurately and prepare basic survey reports and records.
8. Accuracy and Attention to Detail
   Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, with the ability to identify measurement errors and discrepancies.
9. Communication and Coordination
   Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with Engineers, BIM Teams, subcontractors and other site personnel.
10. Language Skills
    Good command of English and Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese management and local site personnel.
11. Site Working Ability
    Willing to work on construction sites and provide surveying support according to the actual construction progress and project requirements.
12. Education
    Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

Preferred

• Experience working on Malaysia construction projects.
• Familiarity with Malaysian surveying practices and construction standards.
• Experience with roadworks, drainage, sewerage and external works.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Available to join immediately or within a short notice period.
