Job Description

• Conduct site surveys, measurements, and setting-out works for construction projects.
• Carry out topographical surveys and establish site benchmarks, coordinates, and reference points.
• Perform setting-out for building, structural, civil, and infrastructure works based on approved drawings.
• Operate surveying equipment such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, and other relevant instruments.
• Check and verify coordinates, levels, dimensions, elevations, and alignment of construction works.
• Prepare survey reports, field records, as-built drawings, and measurement documentation.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and other project teams regarding surveying works.
• Monitor and ensure surveying activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Identify and report discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Support project teams during construction progress monitoring and quality inspections.
• Ensure surveying activities comply with applicable Malaysian construction standards, regulations, and project requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Site Surveyor / Land Surveyor in construction or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant surveying qualifications may also be considered for junior positions.
• Proficient in operating Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, and other surveying instruments.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and preparation of survey/as-built drawings.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, coordinates, levels, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction practices and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Familiar with CIDB requirements and construction site procedures will be an advantage. CIDB recognizes construction personnel and has competency/accreditation frameworks for construction-site roles.
• Good knowledge of surveying calculations, measurements, and setting-out procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure at construction sites.
• Willing to work at project sites and relocate when required.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred.
