Surveyor (Nickel Mining)

About the role

This role involves conducting surveying and mapping activities for mining area operations, providing topographic data to support mining planning and operational activities, and ensuring data accuracy and reliability through processing and validation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct measurement and mapping of mining areas according to operational requirements
• Provide topographic data to support mining planning and operational activities
• Measure mining progress, disposal areas, stockpiles, and other mining infrastructure
• Process and validate survey data to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Prepare operational maps, as-built surveys, and mining progress reports on a regular basis
• Coordinate with Mine Planning, Geology, and Operation teams to support production targets
• Ensure all survey activities are conducted according to safety standards and company procedures

About you

• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in Geomatics Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years experinced as Surveyor in the same field.
• Understanding of topography activities, mine measurement, and operational area mapping
• Ability to operate survey equipment such as Total Station, GPS/GNSS, and Drone
• Ability to operate survey data processing software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Minescape, or similar software
• Capable of data analysis and report preparation
• Able to work individually and in teams
• Willing to be placed at site area with 12:2 roster system.
