Sushi Chef / Sushi Helper

Tabernacle Steakhouse is seeking an experienced Sushi Chef / Sushi Helper to join our culinary team.

We are looking for a skilled, motivated sushi professional who takes pride in quality, precision, presentation, and the craft of sushi. Our sushi program is an important part of the dining experience, and we’re looking for someone who understands the standards expected in an upscale steakhouse environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing and executing sushi rolls, sashimi, and other sushi department dishes
• Cleaning, breaking down, and properly preparing fresh fish
• Preparing sauces, dressings, and daily mise en place
• Maintaining consistency, quality, and beautiful presentation
• Working efficiently during service while maintaining attention to detail
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional sushi station
• Following proper seafood handling and food-safety standards
• Working closely with the culinary team to deliver an exceptional guest experience

What We’re Looking For

• Previous sushi experience is required
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish preparation
• Experience making sushi rolls and other traditional and contemporary sushi preparations
• Understanding of sushi ingredients, sauces, and proper food handling
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to grow with a quality-driven culinary team
