Duties

• Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity
• Select fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to maintain quality and safety standards
• Demonstrate expert knife skills for slicing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients efficiently
• Educate team members on proper sushi techniques and presentation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station in compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
• Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
• Culinary experience with an emphasis on freshness, presentation, and flavor balance
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation protocols
• Passion for Japanese cuisine and dedication to delivering authentic dining experiences
