Sushi Chef

We are a busy, established sushi restaurant in Boise seeking an experienced, dependable Sushi Chef to join our team immediately. We need someone who can step in confidently, maintain high-quality output during peak service, and be a reliable part of the kitchen crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh nigiri, sashimi, traditional and specialty rolls, and other sushi menu items
• Execute fast, precise work during high-volume service periods
• Maintain exceptional station cleanliness and organization
• Manage prep lists and inventory efficiently
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Uphold strict food safety and quality standards at all times

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a sushi chef (minimum 1–2+ years strongly preferred)
• Strong, consistent knife skills and speed under pressure
• Ability to produce high-quality sushi quickly and accurately during rushes
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic — reliability is non-negotiable
• Punctual and committed to showing up for every scheduled shift
