Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in the kitchen
• Source fresh ingredients and manage inventory to ensure quality and freshness of all sushi components
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
• Educate staff on proper sushi preparation techniques and presentation standards
• Ensure consistent portioning, plating, and presentation of all dishes served
• Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols while working efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
• Strong knowledge of sushi techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Creative flair for presentation and artistic plating of dishes
• Experience working with fresh seafood and handling raw ingredients safely
• Passion for culinary arts with a focus on authentic Japanese cooking methods
