Duties

• Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with exceptional attention to detail and presentation
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in all kitchen areas
• Source fresh ingredients and manage inventory to ensure the availability of quality supplies at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menu items and innovative sushi rolls that excite our guests
• Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining consistency in taste and appearance
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and best practices
• Uphold a positive team environment by fostering teamwork, communication, and efficiency during busy service hours

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or culinary setting
• Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation protocols
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Experience working with fresh seafood and managing inventory effectively
• Passion for Japanese cuisine and culinary innovation
