Hashi Sushi is a contemporary Japanese restaurant dedicated to delivering an authentic and refined dining experience. Known for its fresh, high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation techniques, the restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring expertly crafted sushi, sashimi, donburi, tempura, and other traditional Japanese dishes. Hashi Sushi currently has three stores location in Sydney, Rhodes, Macquarie Park and Chatswood.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Sushi Chef to join our team.

Roles and responsibilities include:

· Designing and refining the menu, forecasting ingredient needs, managing food expenses, and coordinating supply orders.

· Overseeing dish quality throughout the preparation and plating process to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.

· Collaborating with management and other staffs to address menu planning and food preparation concerns.

· Showcasing culinary techniques and guiding the team on best practices for sushi and Japanese dish preparation.

· Cooking and assembling a variety of Japanese dishes, maintaining authenticity while ensuring efficiency.

· Upholding strict hygiene and food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and restaurant policies.

· Mentoring and training kitchen staff, fostering skill development and teamwork.

· Overseeing food preservation, including freezing and proper storage, to maintain freshness and minimize waste.

Skills and Qualifications:

· AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)

Experience:

· 1-year minimum experience as a Chef or a related field.

Salary Offered

· 80,000 – $100,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
