Sushi Chef/Helper

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and passionate Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong knife skills, experience preparing sushi and sashimi, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant while maintaining high food quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, hand rolls, and specialty rolls
• Prepare and portion fish, seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and freshness
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Keep the sushi station clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team
• Maintain consistency during busy service hours

Requirements

• Excellent knife skills and fish fabrication experience
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a positive attitude
