As a Sushi Cook, you will be responsible for preparing dishes according to recipes and chef specifications. What will you do?

• Prepare high-quality sushi dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation.
• Handle, slice, and present fish and other ingredients with precision and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and organized work-flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi preparation area.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of sushi ingredients.
• Uphold food safety regulations and practices.
• May be required to perform other duties as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the team and organization.

More About You

• A minimum of two years' experience as a sushi cook or similar role is required.
• In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
• Strong knife skills and precision in handling raw fish and other ingredients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are needed for precise cutting and assembly of sushi.
• Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a potentially hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Pushing and pulling occasionally to move equipment.
• In the kitchen environment, noise levels may be moderate to high.
