Sushi Helper

Sushi Maker / Sushi Prep

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sushi Helper to join our sushi team inside a supermarket.

The main responsibility of this position is to prepare and make sushi products, package and display sushi, and complete daily side work to keep the sushi station clean and organized.

Job Responsibilities

• Make and prepare a variety of sushi products, including rolls, nigiri, and other sushi items
• Prepare sushi ingredients and maintain proper food quality and presentation
• Package, label, and stock sushi products in the display case
• Prepare sushi according to company standards and recipes
• Keep the sushi preparation area, equipment, and display case clean and organized
• Complete daily side work, including cleaning, restocking, and ingredient preparation
• Conduct approximately 1 hour of sushi sampling during lunchtime
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner when needed
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements

Requirements

• Previous sushi-making experience is preferred
• Experience making sushi rolls and other basic sushi products
• Reliable, responsible, and punctual
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced supermarket environment
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Good attention to cleanliness, food safety, and product presentation
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule

Part-time or full-time available.

Lunch-time availability is required for the sampling portion of the job.

Pay

$[17] – $[22] per hour, depending on experience.

We are looking for someone dependable who takes pride in making quality sushi and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
