Sushi Helper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist in various Sushi Bar operations, ensuring that food preparation and service meet high standards of quality and safety. This role is essential in supporting the dietary department and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

• Assist with Sushi preparation, including chopping, slicing, and making rolls as directed by the culinary team.
• Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dietary preferences.
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Help maintain cleanliness in the Sushi Bar, including mopping bar, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing storage areas.
• Participate in catering events by preparing food items and assisting with serving as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals to residents or guests.
• Utilize knife skills effectively for food preparation tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
• Engage in continuous learning about food service best practices and culinary techniques.

Experience

• Previous experience in Sushi department is preferred.
• Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
• Experience in the restaurant or food industry is advantageous.
• A background in culinary arts or related fields is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
