Sushi Roll Maker

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Sushi Roll Maker to join our busy restaurant team.

We are a very busy, high-volume restaurant, so this role is best suited to someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and making sushi rolls efficiently and consistently
• Preparing ingredients and completing basic food preparation
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
• Keeping the work area organised and well stocked
• Assisting with general kitchen duties when required
• Following food safety and hygiene standards
• Working efficiently and maintaining quality during busy service periods

About You

• Adults only – junior applicants are not required
• Previous sushi-making or kitchen experience is preferred
• Able to work confidently in a very busy and fast-paced restaurant
• Comfortable working under pressure and during peak service periods
• Physically fit and able to handle demanding kitchen work
• Fast, reliable, hardworking and responsible
• Good attention to detail and food presentation
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Willing to assist with other kitchen duties when required
• Flexible availability with no fixed time restrictions
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months
• Able to work consistently through February 2027
• Applicants should have no planned extended holiday before February 2027

Pay & Conditions

• Pay rates are in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award
• Adult rates apply
• Casual loading and applicable penalty rates will apply where relevant
• Training will be provided where required

This is a very busy and physically demanding role. We are looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable working in a high-pressure environment and can maintain speed, consistency and quality throughout busy service periods.

Pay: $25.74 – $32.18 per hour
