Sustainability Coordinator

Responsibilities :

• Research on best practices, policies and regulations globally, with focus on EU regulations.
• Collaborate in the formulation, execution, and oversight of the organisation's sustainability initiatives, focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) pillars, ensuring alignment with economic efficiency and long-term value creation.
• Coordinate the organization's ESG program management, possessing foundational knowledge in sustainability goal-setting and reporting.
• Coordinate the development of ESG frameworks and standards to ensure alignment with both Malaysian regulations and international compliance requirements.
• Offer comprehensive assistance in monitoring and reporting the organisation's Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions performance across Scope 1, 2, and 3, following the guidelines of the GHG Protocol.
• Manage the organisation's carbon footprint, including aiding in developing and implementing carbon offsetting strategies.
• Engage with stakeholders on sustainability matters related to ESG components.
• Stay abreast of current sustainability regulations and best practices.
• Take responsibility for the preparation of the Monthly GHG Inventory Report.
• Assist in compiling the annual Carbon Footprint Report and Sustainability Report.
• Conduct ad hoc audits and investigations into processes and areas of concern when necessary.
• Conduct research on the latest science-based sustainability methodology, including green technology, climate change issues and solutions
• Raising employee awareness and promoting initiatives related to sustainability efforts and ESG programs.

Requirement :

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Environment Science / Management , Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in sustainability, environmental management, or carbon reporting is an added advantage; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in IT, particularly skilled in Excel, and adept at analyzing statistical data.
• Excellent research and technical skills, with the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources such as public datasets, industry standards, and best practices.
• IT-savvy, particularly proficient in Excel, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong planning and organizational skills are vital, along with a commitment to high integrity and a proactive approach in the workplace
