Sustainability Executive

(Part-time / Project-based)

The Hong Kong, China Association of Athletics Affiliates (HKAAA), one of the leading National Sports Associations in Hong Kong, aims to promote the sport of athletics among the community and also organizes mega sports events, such as the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon. The HKAAA now invites applications for a project-based position to support the sustainability measures of our mega events.

The successful candidate will coordinate sustainability and ESG-related documentation, collect supporting evidence, liaise with event stakeholders, and assist in preparing and submitting reports and materials required by relevant governing bodies, such as World Athletics and government departments.

Employment Period

Ø   Project-based appointment from October 2026 to March 2027 (tentative)

Ø   Working Hours: 24 working hours per week, may varied subject to project needs

Responsibilities

Ø   Coordinate and prepare the Athletics for a Better World (ABW) Standard application and supporting documents;

Ø   Liaise with departments, event partners, and stakeholders to gather required information and evidence;

Ø   Assist in preparing sustainability plans, records, and reports;

Ø   Collect event data, photographs, and supporting materials;

Ø   Prepare and submit the ABW report via the World Athletics platform.

Requirements:

Ø   Degree holder or equivalent qualification;

Ø   Relevant experience in project coordination, event management, ESG, sustainability, or related areas;

Ø   Strong organizational, communication, and report-writing skills;

Ø   Good command of English and Chinese;

Ø   Able to work independently and meet deadlines;

Ø   Knowledge of athletics, especially road running and marathons, is an advantage.
