About the Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Vice President (SVP) – Lead Salesforce Engineer for a leading global investment banking and financial services organisation establishing a strategic Technology Innovation Hub in Pune.

This is an opportunity to lead Salesforce engineering at a platform level, shape architecture and engineering standards, and build scalable, secure and high-performance enterprise solutions.

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader with deep Salesforce expertise across Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Apex and enterprise integrations. The ideal candidate will combine strong architectural judgement with the ability to solve complex implementation challenges and guide engineering teams.

This is a greenfield engineering opportunity focused on building and evolving platforms, rather than routine application support or maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Salesforce platform architecture, technical design and engineering standards.
• Design and develop scalable solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Apex and JavaScript.
• Build reusable, configurable and metadata-driven component frameworks.
• Develop complex Apex solutions, including asynchronous processing, Batch Apex, Queueable and Future methods.
• Design enterprise integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), Named Credentials and External Services.
• Optimise Salesforce applications for governor limits, bulk processing, performance and large data volumes.
• Establish robust security, sharing, access-control and data-protection practices.
• Design reliable processing workflows with appropriate error handling, retries, partial-failure management and monitoring.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical decision-making and code-quality standards.
• Guide senior engineers and development teams while remaining involved in critical design and implementation.
• Collaborate with global technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, scalable Salesforce solutions.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant Salesforce engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce platform development and architecture.
• Deep experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura and JavaScript .
• Strong understanding of asynchronous Apex, Batch Apex, Queueable jobs, bulkification and governor limits.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security, sharing models and data-access controls.
• Experience with platform-level architecture decisions, reusable frameworks and scalable application design.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and explain architecture decisions clearly.
• Strong hands-on technical leadership; this is not a purely people-management role.

Good to Have

• Experience with Angular and strong hands-on frontend development.
• Salesforce Financial Services Cloud fundamentals or experience in financial services.
• Experience with Platform Events, Change Data Capture and high-volume data processing.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification.
• Experience with test automation and enterprise engineering quality standards.
• Exposure to AWS Lambda, S3 and API Gateway.
• Experience working with global engineering teams in investment banking or financial services.
