SVP, Technology Transformation | AI-Enabled Development

Are you an SVP of Technology Transformation with experience leading technology teams for a consumer products (CPG) or DTC company? This global consumer products company designs, manufactures (mainly offshore), and sells globally recognized consumer brands. This person will drive the transition from a legacy IT maintenance model with disparate SaaS solutions to a home-grown technology platform built by an in-house engineering team. This transformational leader will build a comprehensive technology platform for internal and external products, including digital consumer experiences. This SVP of Tech Transformation will have full executive sponsorship to shift the org from buying and maintaining software to building and owning it, with AI woven into the build from day one.

What You Will Own

Lead the technology transformation through 3 phases.

1. Learn and evaluate the current technology and team
2. Develop and execute a tech strategy, embedding AI into the dev process from the start, building a comprehensive technology platform for internal and external products, including digital consumer experiences
3. Continual evolution with AI

Lead the in-house engineering and technology organization

Establish the enterprise data platform

Drive the technology and AI strategy, partnering with executive leadership

What You'll Need

• Grew up in Microsoft stack software engineering, led technology and engineering organizations through major transformation - still enjoys being hands-on
• Has built or rebuilt a technology function and technology platform
• Recent focus on building AI-enabled development processes
• Builder mindset over maintainer mindset
• Comes from a consumer facing business with a B2B2C or DTC component, ideally one with a fast moving, trend driven product cycle (fast fashion is a useful reference point)
• Has led teams of at least 20-30 people across a range of functions
• Microsoft and Azure background
• Understanding of an ERP, doesn't need to be an expert

Plus Skills

• Consumer products, manufacturing, or global operations experience
• Experience in a company with technology that is trend-driven (fast-fashion, as an example)
• Data platform build experience
