Hendra Holiday Park is a family-run, five-star, multi-award-winning holiday destination located in the heart of beautiful Newquay, Cornwall.

Our Oasis Fun Pools are among the largest and most exciting swimming facilities in the South West, featuring both indoor and outdoor pools, 3 water slides, water features, river rapids. Supported by a team of over 30 lifeguards, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming environment & facility for all our guests.

We are now looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to join our team and help deliver high-quality swimming lessons that encourage confidence, skill development, and water safety for learners of all ages.

The Role

As a Swimming Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and enjoyable swimming lessons while promoting water safety and helping individuals progress and achieve their swimming goals.

This is a term-time only position, with no lessons delivered during school holiday periods. the working days each week are Monday and Tuesdays

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, safe, and effective swimming lessons tailored to different ages and abilities.
• Assess swimmers' progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure all safety procedures and pool operating protocols are followed at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver lesson plans.
• Promote water safety awareness and best practice.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification (or equivalent)

You should also possess:

• A good understanding of water safety standards and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
• The ability to motivate and encourage swimmers of all ages and abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability in lesson delivery.
• A genuine passion for teaching swimming and developing confidence in the water.
