SWING SHIFT - CNC Mill Operator

Position Overview

Swing Shift: Mon to Thur 3:15 pm - 2 am

Operating 3, 4, & 5 Axis machines

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mills according to internal data sheets.
• Monitor machine operations, adjusting tool offsets and parameters to meet engineering requirements.
• Load products into the machine centers.
• Prepare parts for first article inspection, verifying dimensions and tolerances.
• Measure finished products using precision measurement tools and compare results to documented specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and checks on machinery to ensure continuous operation and prevent breakdowns.
• Document production data and report any issues or deviations to supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a CNC Mill operator, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Physical ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and internal planning documents.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills to resolve machine issues promptly.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
• Attention to detail to identify and address quality defects during production.
• Knowledge of machine setup and programming is advantageous.
• Experience with Okuma & MORI CNC control systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

All levels of experience needed.
