Swing Trading Analyst

We are looking for a Swing Trading Analyst with a basic understanding of technical analysis and stock charts.

Experience: 0–3 years

Industry: Financial Markets / Investment

The role is ideal for someone who has a genuine interest in the stock market and wants to develop a career in swing trading and technical analysis.

You will work closely with the promoter/founder to learn an established swing trading process, including specific trading setups, chart-reading techniques, risk management and trade execution. As you demonstrate proficiency and discipline, you will be given responsibility for executing trades using allocated capital.

Prior professional trading experience is not required. A strong understanding of technical analysis, willingness to learn and disciplined approach are more important.

Key Responsibilities

• Study and analyse Indian equity markets and individual stocks.
• Learn and apply predefined swing trading setups and strategies.
• Scan charts to identify potential trading opportunities.
• Analyse trends, price action, volume, support/resistance, breakouts and other technical indicators.
• Maintain stock watchlists and track potential setups.
• Back-test and study trading setups using historical charts.
• Execute trades according to predefined entry, exit and risk-management rules.
• Monitor open positions and follow the trading plan.
• Maintain a detailed trade journal and document the rationale behind each trade.
• Review completed trades and identify mistakes and areas for improvement.
• Learn new trading modules and independently develop an understanding of their application.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of *technical analysis and stock charts*.
• Understanding of concepts such as:
• Support & resistance
• Trends and trendlines
• Breakouts/breakdowns
• Candlestick patterns
• Volume
• Moving averages
• Risk-reward
• Stop-loss
• Genuine interest in the Indian stock market.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• High level of discipline and ability to follow a defined process.
• Willingness to learn and accept feedback.
• Ability to work independently after training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with *TradingView* or similar charting platforms.
• Prior experience in swing trading or paper trading.
• Familiarity with stock screeners.
• Basic Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Knowledge of fundamental analysis is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Python or quantitative analysis is an advantage but *not required*.

The selected candidate will receive direct training and mentorship in the swing trading process, including:

Responsibility will increase progressively based on demonstrated understanding, discipline and consistency. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to eventually take responsibility for executing trades using allocated capital.
