We’re looking for a hands-on CNC Dept. Supervisor who thrives in a leadership role, takes ownership of production, and is passionate about delivering high-quality precision parts.

What You’ll Do: Lead the CNC Dept.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of machinists and operators
• Drive accountability for quality, productivity, and performance
• Assign work, monitor progress, and provide hands-on support as needed
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement

Programming, Setup & Machining

• Program and optimize Swiss CNC machines and Citizen Miyano lathes( setup if needed).
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues to minimize downtime
• Oversee first article inspections and ensure accurate documentation
• Maintain and improve setup sheets, tooling strategies, and programs

Production & Scheduling

• Plan and prioritize jobs to meet customer deadlines and maximize efficiency
• Monitor cycle times, tool life, and scrap; implement improvements
• Ensure all work meets print specifications and quality standards
• Balance shop capacity and workflow to keep operations running smoothly

Planning & Coordination

• Ensure tooling, materials, and resources are ready for upcoming jobs
• Work with vendors to maintain proper tooling and inventory levels
• Support quoting with accurate cycle times and process input

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

• Partner with quality and leadership teams to improve processes
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with Swiss CNC programming and setup
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a machining environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes
• Strong understanding of tight-tolerance, precision manufacturing
• A proactive, hands-on mindset with attention to detail
