About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Switchboard Testing Electrician to join the manufacturing team in a permanent, full-time position. This hands-on role will see you involved in the assembly, testing, commissioning and fault finding of electrical switchboards and control systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.  

Key responsibilities include:

• Assemble, wire and test LV switchboards and control panels in accordance with Australian Standards and electrical schematics.
• Install, terminate and connect electrical components, switchgear and control equipment.
• Undertake functional testing, commissioning and verification of switchboards.
• Perform fault finding, troubleshooting and primary and secondary injection testing.
• Configure protection devices, complete testing documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

About You
We are looking for a technically capable Electrician with strong switchboard testing experience, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.  
To be successful, you will have:

• Current QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence – essential.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in switchboard testing and commissioning – essential.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience in switchboard assembly, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Competency using testing equipment, including multimeters, ductors, HiPot and insulation resistance testers.
• Experience conducting primary and secondary injection testing.
• Strong safety awareness and the ability to work independently.

Experience with Siemens Powerconfig, Schneider EcoStruxure Power Commission, ABB Ekip Connect or network programming will be highly regarded.
