Switchboard Operator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Switchboard Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for callers and visitors, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth communication within the organization. This role requires strong multitasking abilities and a friendly demeanor, as you will be handling multiple phone lines and interacting with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate multi-line phone systems to answer, transfer, and direct calls efficiently.
• Greet visitors at the front desk, providing assistance and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a professional phone etiquette while managing incoming calls and inquiries.
• Perform data entry tasks accurately to ensure proper documentation of calls and messages.
• Assist with clerical duties as needed, including filing, typing, and administrative support.
• Collaborate with dispatching teams to relay important information promptly.
• Provide support to various departments by communicating messages and relaying information effectively.

Experience

• Previous experience in a switchboard or front desk role is preferred.
• Familiarity with multi-line phone systems is essential.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Experience in data entry and clerical tasks is beneficial for this position.
