About the Role
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented and music-curious Sync Coordinator to join the team in Beverly Hills.
This role will play an important part in keeping the music catalog organized, accurate and ready to pitch, while supporting creative research, incoming music searches, writing sessions and custom projects.
Film and television will be a key focus, working closely with the Creative Sync Manager on music research, playlist preparation and incoming briefs. You will also gain exposure to projects across trailers, advertising, video games and publishing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in sync licensing, gaining hands-on experience of the process from writing sessions and catalog management through to pitching and music placements, with opportunities to contribute more creatively as their knowledge and experience grow.
Key Responsibilities
Catalog & Project Coordination
- Maintain and organize music catalogs within DISCO, ensuring metadata, credits, tags and assets are accurate and ready for pitching.
- Upload incoming music and coordinate with artists, producers, writers and publishing partners to collect missing tracks, stems, instrumentals and rights information.
- Maintain accurate Airtable records covering searches, custom projects, internal cues, contacts and confirmed placements.
- Support improvements to catalog organization, systems and workflows across DISCO, Airtable and related platforms.
Creative Support & Research
- Research upcoming film and television productions, music supervisors and sync opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date industry contacts and research records.
- Source reference tracks, prepare playlists and contribute music suggestions for incoming briefs.
- Coordinate trailer mailers, including music selections, artwork and supporting assets.
- Support custom music projects by documenting calls, organizing briefs and feedback, and tracking deadlines and deliverables.
Sessions & Team Support
- Schedule and coordinate writing sessions, meetings and studio bookings, maintaining accurate calendars and session records.
- Liaise with collaborators and help ensure the studio is organized and ready for sessions.
- Support released-song registrations, website and Instagram updates, expense reporting and general team administration.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- 1–2 years of experience within the music industry, ideally across sync licensing, music publishing, a record label, artist management or studio coordination. Relevant internship experience will also be considered.
- Working knowledge of DISCO, including playlist creation, tagging and metadata management.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A broad musical knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for discovering music and matching tracks to creative briefs.
- Basic understanding of master and publishing rights, ownership splits and one-stop tracks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to coordinate with artists, writers, producers and other industry contacts.
- A proactive approach, strong follow-through and the ability to identify and flag issues early.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Airtable or similar database and project management tools.
- Familiarity with Canva and creating or updating social media content, particularly Instagram.
- An interest in film, television, advertising and the wider sync licensing landscape.
Additional Information
- Salary: $40,000–$50,000 per annum.
- Full-time, permanent position based in Beverly Hills, California.
- Candidates must be based in the Los Angeles area and able to work from the office four days per week, with one day working remotely.
