Our commitment to state- of-the-art solutions spans the entire product value chain, delivering next-generation software, end-to-end IoT solutions, cloud infrastructure management, and managed IT support services.
About the Role
Nuventure Connect is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join the Engineering team.
The role involves building, securing, and maintaining open-cloud virtualization infrastructure across multiple sites and customer environments.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering clusters, hypervisor hosts, virtual machines, images
and templates, live migration, resource allocation, and multi-tenant isolation. The role also includes Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for escalated incidents and executing customer workload migrations from VMware to open-cloud platforms.
Required Skills
- Strong Linux system administration, including Linux KVM virtualization. Building, deploying, and maintaining
virtual machines along with the underlying compute, storage, and network integration. This is now a core requirement rather than a secondary skill. - Hands-on production administration of the following platforms: Proxmox VE, OpenStack, and Red Hat
OpenShift. Candidates should bring genuine depth in at least two of the three, with the ability to ramp on the others. - Enterprise storage: working knowledge of NAS, SAN, and iSCSI, CEPH, and how they integrate with
virtualized environments. - Core networking: VLANs, firewalls, load balancers, NAT, DNS, and LAN and WAN connectivity.
- Methodical troubleshooting of complex infrastructure issues, with sound risk assessment and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly.
- Strong written and verbal English, including the ability to produce operational documentation and work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
- Ability to organize and prioritize concurrent operational issues, escalations, and project commitments without
losing accuracy or missing deadlines.
Preferred Skills - VMware vSphere administration, and experience migrating workloads off VMware.
- Backup, replication, and recovery platforms such as Veeam, including multi-tenant Veeam Backup and
Replication and Cloud Connect, as well as Zerto or OpenText. - Automation and configuration management such as Ansible or Salt, and infrastructure-as-code practice.
- Hyperconverged infrastructure, software-defined networking, and enterprise capacity planning.
- Infrastructure security, hardening, vulnerability remediation, backup immutability, and recovery testing.
- Experience supporting multiple customer environments at a managed services provider.
- Certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE, Red Hat OpenShift, Proxmox, OpenStack, or ITIL Foundation.
