System Administrator

Overview

We're seeking a hands-on System Administrator II to join a collaborative IT team supporting a hybrid Microsoft and AWS infrastructure environment. This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys building, administering, automating, and improving enterprise systems across cloud and on-premises environments.

We're looking for someone who has personally implemented, integrated, managed, and troubleshot core infrastructure technologies while taking ownership of systems, security, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support on-premises and cloud infrastructure
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, networking, virtualization, and related services
• Administer AWS infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and backup solutions
• Automate operational processes using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting tools
• Administer SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational database platforms, including backups, performance tuning, security, and troubleshooting
• Support infrastructure security, patching, monitoring, disaster recovery, and compliance initiatives
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure, systems administration, or systems engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Hyper-V
• Experience implementing and managing AWS environments and services
• Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or comparable tools
• Database administration experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or similar relational databases
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and systems integration abilities
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
