A major manufacturing organization in Lafayette is seeking a System Administrator to support its enterprise systems and server infrastructure.

About the Role

System Administrator On-Site / Lafayette, IN Six-Month Contract with Potential for Direct Hire. You will maintain reliable operations, resolve issues that disrupt users and production, and contribute to infrastructure improvements as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, systems, hardware, and software.
• Support VMware virtualization, virtual server management, enterprise storage, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Maintain backup and disaster recovery capabilities and help restore service when incidents occur.
• Monitor performance, investigate recurring issues, and document resolutions and system changes.
• Contribute to Azure and AWS integration, infrastructure upgrades, and automation projects.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to address operational needs and limit disruptions.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with enterprise server environments, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Working knowledge of VMware, virtual server management, and infrastructure performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS environments and cloud integration concepts.
• Exposure to automation or configuration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or ServiceNow.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with platforms such as Pure Storage, vSAN, Horizon, Nutanix, Zerto, Cohesity, Rubrik, Varonis, Proofpoint, xClarity, 10ZiG, Zena, Tanium, PrinterLogic, Kubernetes, SFTP, or NTP is a plus; experience with every tool is not required.
