System Administrator

Role Description The System Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based at Rajshahi Colo in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, operating systems, and related infrastructure in the data center environment. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, managing backups, applying security updates and patches, and ensuring high availability and reliability of services. The System Administrator will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, provide technical support to internal teams and customers, and coordinate with vendors and partners as needed. The role also involves documenting configurations and procedures, following best practices for security and compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong System Administration skills, including server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proficient in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Experience with Network Administration and Information Technology operations in a data center or similar environment.
• Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server) and virtualization or cloud technologies.
• Understanding of security best practices, backup and recovery procedures, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to work on-site in Rajshahi, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant technical certification(s) (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Linux+, CCNA, or equivalent) and prior experience in a hosting or ISP environment are preferred.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
