System Administrator

Description

• Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in system administration, particularly in Linux environments.
• Proven expertise in Linux server administration, with experience in Oracle Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) preferred.
• Strong understanding of Oracle Exadata architecture and components, with hands-on experience in monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including knowledge of Compute, Networking, and Storage services.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Basic knowledge of Shell scripting or Bash to automate and streamline administrative tasks.
• Experience in supporting mission-critical systems in the banking or financial services sector is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers in enterprise environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and apply patches and security updates to maintain system integrity.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, storage solutions, and system logs to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
• Monitor and support Oracle Exadata infrastructure, handling administration and troubleshooting of all components.
• Collaborate with database, network, storage, application, and security teams to resolve technical issues swiftly.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives in coordination with relevant teams.
• Oversee infrastructure operations, including incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
• Work with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services for cloud monitoring, provisioning, and support.
