About the Role

This role supports hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. The System Administrator will manage core services, drive automation, and maintain security tooling to keep systems hardened and compliant. You’ll work across the full stack — from Active Directory and DNS to AWS-hosted Linux servers and endpoint security platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server 2019/2022 environments including Active Directory, DNS, and Certificate Authorities, and manage Windows 10/11 client systems
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux distributions (RHEL 8/9, Amazon Linux 2023) running in AWS
• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS while supporting existing on-premises server environments
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and configuration management workflows using SaltStack, Ansible, Bash, and Python
• Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint security tools including McAfee/Trellix agents, ePO, Tenable Nessus agents, and BigFix
• Track, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Windows Server 2019/2022 (Active Directory, DNS, PKI/Certificate Authorities)
• Experience managing Windows 10/11 client systems in an enterprise environment
• Proficiency administering RHEL 8/9 or Amazon Linux in AWS
• Experience with infrastructure automation using SaltStack, Ansible, Bash, or Python
• Familiarity with endpoint security platforms such as McAfee/Trellix ePO, Tenable Nessus, or BigFix
• Experience identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities across multi-environment infrastructure

Desired Qualifications

• AWS associate-level certification or equivalent hands-on cloud experience
• Experience managing hybrid environments spanning both AWS and on-premises infrastructure
• Proficiency in multiple scripting/automation tools (e.g., both Ansible and SaltStack)
• Familiarity with STIG compliance and security hardening practices
