System Analyst

About the role

Technology Solutions is seeking a System Analyst to join our engineering and software development team. This is a full-time position based in Pathum Wan, Bangkok. As a System Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in designing, analysing and optimising our software systems to meet business objectives and technical requirements. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into technical solutions and providing strategic guidance to support the growth and innovation of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Analysing business requirements and translating them into comprehensive system specifications and technical documentation
• Designing scalable and efficient software solutions that align with organisational goals and industry best practices
• Conducting system performance assessments and identifying opportunities for optimisation and improvement
• Collaborating with software developers, project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful system implementation and deployment
• Performing detailed testing and quality assurance activities to ensure systems meet required standards and user expectations
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior analysts and development team members
• Documenting system architectures, workflows and technical processes for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes
• Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending tools and solutions to enhance system capabilities
• Supporting troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues in production environments
• Participating in system maintenance planning and coordinating updates and enhancements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Analyst or in a similar technical role within software engineering or IT environments
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in system design and architecture principles
• Experience with requirements gathering, analysis and documentation
• Solid understanding of database design and data management concepts
• Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes
• Proficiency in using system analysis and modelling tools (UML, data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern software architecture patterns is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies is advantageous
• Project management experience or certification would be beneficial
