System Analyst

Job Description (JD)
The System Analyst will analyze business requirements, translate them into functional and non-functional requirements, and work closely with business users, Solution Architects, and IT teams to deliver quality solutions. The role will also handle functional testing, test documentation, defect tracking, and ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Identify gaps and clarify requirements with business users and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure requirements are addressed.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend practical solutions or alternatives.
• Understand financial services processes, products, and business outcomes.
• Translate requirements into testable requirements, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Prepare test plans, test data, and testing documentation.
• Coordinate and assist in functional testing and defect management.
• Perform basic application troubleshooting and investigate issues.
• Track, document, and report testing results and defects.
• Ensure delivered applications comply with functional and technical requirements.
• Manage changes to functional and non-functional requirements.
• Maintain testing documents, reports, and other project artifacts.
• Communicate effectively with business and technology stakeholders.

Job Qualifications (JQ)

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a System Analyst or similar role.
• Experience working on large-scale banking or financial services projects.
• Proven experience with core banking
• Experience working on at least 3 projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Strong understanding of financial services processes and products.
• Ability to document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Strong experience in test case development, test planning, test data preparation, and functional testing.
• Experience with defect tracking and test result reporting.
• Strong documentation skills, including interface specifications, data mapping, and integration artifacts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

• Experience managing or coordinating multi-stakeholder projects.
• Experience working closely with Solution Architects, developers, business users, and IT teams.
• Knowledge of application support and operational processes.
