System Analyst

Duration: 2-year term (Full-time)

Work Model: Hybrid (standard working hours)

Work Location: Surrey, BC

We are seeking a System Analyst 1 to provide operational and technical support for assigned business applications. Working under general direction and alongside senior analysts, business users, technical teams, and external vendors, the System Analyst 1 will assist with troubleshooting, system analysis and testing, application upgrades and implementations, documentation, and continuous improvement activities to help ensure systems remain reliable, secure, and responsive to business needs.

Experience in working with data, extracting information from systems, and supporting reporting needs is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide application and system support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Assist with system maintenance, upgrades, patches, testing, and implementations.
• Work with business users, technical teams, and vendors to investigate and resolve issues.
• Support system changes, configurations, and application enhancements.
• Assist with extracting and validating data from applications and systems to support reporting and business needs.
• Maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Follow applicable security, privacy, access, change, release, and operational requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot application, database, integration, reporting, network-connectivity, and Windows Server issues.
• Practical experience in systems analysis, application support, technical support, or a comparable enterprise technology role.
• Experience, knowledge, or a strong interest in data extraction, data analysis, and reporting.
• Exposure to tools or technologies such as SQL, databases, reporting tools, or data visualization is considered an asset.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business and technical teams.
