System Analyst | Front End Core Development

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for development, maintenance & delivering high-quality, secure, integrated Front-End online system.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand the new projects or enhancements, assess the technical feasibility, clarify requirements and recommended a system design or solutions.
• Design and develop applications in alignment with approved solution architecture, established coding standards, and software development best practices.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead, Senior System Analyst, and solution architects to assess solution options, resolve technical constraints, and ensure application changes align with organisational objectives and approved architecture.
• Collaborate with frontend team to integrate backend functionality with the user interface & system architects when required
• Review source code to ensure compliance with approved coding standards, security requirements, performance expectations, and maintainability principles, and provide constructive recommendations for improvement.
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations with other systems and interface channels using approved shared services and APIs.
• Plan and execute unit test, integration, regression, functional and performance testing; review test evidence and ensure defects are resolved before release.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of source code and database scripts to ensure compliance with established standards, enhance quality and maintainability, reduce technical debt, and improve testability and operational supportability.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including impact assessments, Technical Design Specifications, application and database designs, test evidence, implementation plans and deployment checklists.
• Use approved source-control, branching and collaboration practices to manage application code, database scripts, releases and traceable technical changes.
• Conduct knowledge-transfer and handover activities for enhancements and defect fixes so that developers and Support teams understand application behaviour, dependencies and operational procedures.
• Continuously strengthen technical capability, secure application maintenance, performance tuning, troubleshooting and modern delivery practices.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and resolution defects and recurring incidents affecting internally applications, using source-code analysis, logs or debugging tools.
• Coordinate and support SIT, UAT and Production deployments for application enhancements and defect fixes, including application packages, configuration changes, implementation steps and post-deployment verification.
• Perform root-cause analysis for production problems and implement permanent corrective actions that improve application reliability, data integrity, performance and maintainability.
• Provide technical advice on application integration and production issues raised through IM, PM or SR channels to support Business Analysts and Support teams.
• Prepare, validate and review approved Microsoft SQL scripts for data investigation, reconciliation, controlled data correction, extraction or special requests, observing privacy, security, backup and change controls.
• Maintain accurate development, testing, defect, deployment and support information in ALM, ITSP or other approved lifecycle-management systems.
• Collaborate with Database Admin, Infrastructure, Security and other Technology Teams on disaster recovery, platform upgrades, application modernisation, vulnerability remediation and operational-readiness activities.
• Perform other related duties and activities as required by management.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts, database administrators, QA, Support team, Change Management, infrastructure, security and vendor to ensure seamless delivery and stable application operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Malaysian citizen.
• Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or any related background which is recognized by the Malaysian Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in application development, maintenance or production support, including substantial hands-on responsibility using Microsoft .NET framework, C#, HTML, CSS and JavaScript programming.
• Relevant professional certifications or formal training in Microsoft .NET, C#, Microsoft SQL, secure software development, application support, cloud technologies, Agile delivery, or project management would be an advantage.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft SQL Database , including the development of complex queries, stored procedures and scripts, as well as execution-plan analysis, performance tuning, and controlled data correction Strong integration/API understanding
• Experience with server-side business logic, application configuration, APIs and system integration;
• Strong debugging, testing, analytical and root-cause-analysis skills using application logs, development tools, monitoring information and SQL-based data investigation.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC, secure coding, code review, source control, CI/CD, release management and controlled SIT, UAT and Production deployment practices.
