System Analyst (Perm role)

Our client is a leading System Integrator (SI) company with business operations across the APAC region. The company delivers technology solutions and digital transformation projects for clients across different markets in Asia-Pacific.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Node.js System Analyst to join the development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on application development, system analysis, deployment and technical leadership, while leading a team of 3-4 developers.

This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone with strong Node.js full-stack development and deployment experience who is ready to take ownership of technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 developers in application development and delivery.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and system designs.
• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js.
• Develop backend services, REST APIs and integrations, as well as frontend applications.
• Take ownership of application deployment, release management and production support.
• Manage and support deployment across development, UAT and production environments.
• Work closely with DevOps / infrastructure teams on CI/CD pipelines, server/cloud environments and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Perform code reviews and ensure development standards, security and coding best practices.
• Work with project managers, business users and technical teams across APAC projects.
• Participate in the full SDLC from requirements gathering, system design and development through to deployment and production support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, system analysis or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and full-stack application development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, databases and system integration.
• Strong hands-on experience in application deployment and production release.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or similar tools is highly preferred.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a small development team of 3-4 developers.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
